Dr. Beth Ann Hayes

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Beth graduated from Northeastern University’s PhysicalTherapy program.  After many years, she returned to Northeatern to obtain her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Beth has spent over 25 years working in outpatient sports medicine clinics.  She is passionate about returning her patients to a healthy and active lifestyle that they can continue throughout their life.

Beth is certified in Functional Movement Screen (FMS) and Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Level 1. Both of these certifications allow her to perform screenings for the athlete and give corrective exercises that will assist in preventing injuries. In addition to that, she is SFMA certified. This certification is a movement based diagnostic tool that allows assessment of the athlete to determine abnormal movement patterns. The knowledge she has gained through these certifications allow her to look at movements outside the area of pain that may be contributing to the abnormal movement.

Beth is a firm believer in patient education as knowledge is power, especially when it comes to injury treatment & prevention. The more we understand about our injuries, the better we can manage them.

Outside of work, Beth, enjoys working out at the gym, participating in triathlons, hiking, and skiing as well as coaching her children in soccer. She has completed two Boston Marathons and continues to be involved with the BAA by volunteering at the finish line medical tent.  She has been a part of injury prevention for marathon runners, performing lectures and screenings for runners since 1995.
